I used to love drawing and painting so much. Now I'm too depressed to even pick up my pencils. I've felt empty for so long that it almost feels...normal.
Still, I'm not ready to abandon my DA account just yet. Even if creating and looking at art no longer brings me much joy, it can be a welcome distraction at times.
Edit: I'm a little disappointed in myself for this entry. It reads as yet another excessively self-pitying, emo whinefest. Perhaps I should have been more clear about why I'm depressed.
So, why?
Simply, it's clinical depression. That alone isn't enough to leave me in the state that I am now; rather, it's the culmination of 25 years of living with the disease. That, in addition to a crippling obsessive compulsive disorder, has slowly worn away my ability to enjoy life. I'm lost now, and nearly broken...and I don't know where to go from here.
I still sound like I'm feeling sorry for myself, but it's the best I can do (for now). Besides, what's the chance that anyone's actually going to read this?
I would like you to know that I would care very deeply if you were not alive.
